It as been not more than a week since VLC received an important update on Android, and the iOS version is being treated the same.
As snticipated, the recent update brings support for iPhone X, but also some amendment that should prevent the app from acting unsteadily on devices powered by iOS 7 and iOS 8, the update includes support for HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding ) 4K videos. And some general bug amendment have been applied too.
If you have not tried VLC for Mobile yet, you should know the app can play movies, shows and music in most formats directly without conversion. Additionally, the media player supports file synchronization with Dropbox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, iCloud Drive, iTunes, direct downloads and through WiFi sharing, and also streaming from media servers and the web.
VLC also features support for advanced subtitles including multi-track audio, and playback speed control. Also, it's free to download and use.
