Bentley seems to be making some shuffling right now, and reports has it, it also includes getting another CEO. Automotive News claims GerManager Mage report, he will bazin, saying that Wolfgang Durheimer intends to step down. According to that same report, he will be replaced by Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar Land Rover’s present head of strategy.
Since 2014, Durheimer has been Bentley’s chairman and CEO and is also simultaneously the President of Bugatti. He’s reportedly to have already informed Volkswagen Group’s management that he’d like to step down, but presently, there’s no available timeline for his final departure. His reasons to step down are not quite clear and whether or not if he'll depart from Bugatti as well. Stephan Winkelmann, who is presently the CEO of Audi Sport and a former Lamborghini boss, was previously supposed to be the next President of Bugatti after Durheimer.
In the past, Durheimer has been the head of Audi and Porsche. His rumored replacement, Adrian Hallmark, is no surprise or stranger to Volkswagen Group, either. Hallmark worked at Porsche before moving to Bentley and currently Volkswagen.
Bentley recently unveiled the new Continental GT, following its recent introduction its first SUV, the Bentayga. Speculations has it that the next vehicle will probably be a smaller SUV or a sporty coupe based on the fantastic EXP 10 Speed 6 design. There have also been speculations that Bentley will go electric next, with something like the EXP 12 Speed 6e concept.
If all the stated supposition is true, we'll all like to see what direction Bentley’s new CEO takes the brand.
